Perfect if you forgot Valentine’s Day was today, or if you just want a delicious dessert in a jiffy, I wanted to share with you this quick, no-bake recipe that takes less than 10 minutes!
Now, this is ALL contingent on if your grocery store has individual strawberry shortcakes like mine did. I found a package of 6, but shhhh, let’s tell Tanner I just made the cakes from scratch with all the free time I have…(yeah right, haha!) I don’t think he reads my blog yet so I’m good to tell you my secret…I think.
Snag the cakes, some heavy whipping cream, strawberries & you should have the rest of the ingredients at home!
Thinly slice a pound of strawberries & toss them with a few tablespoons of sugar and set it aside. Whip the heavy whipping cream on medium-high until it forms soft peaks, add about 1/2 cup of powdered sugar and a teaspoon of vanilla to taste & mix until it forms a peak. Layer the pre-made cakes, then strawberries, then whipped cream two times into small mason jars & top with a strawberry on top!
