07 Feb Best 7-Layer Dip Recipe Ever

Made this for the Super Bowl yesterday and it was a huge hit! It’s similar to other 7-layer dips, but better. Just trust me on this one. It’s a recipe I received from my mom who has been using it for a very long time. It evokes nostalgic memories of growing up, watching BYU “away” games at home with my Dad. Funny how certain foods take you back.

Recipe:

Layer the following 7 ingredients in a clear dish in the following order:

  • 1 can refried beans,
  • guacamole (3 smashed avocados, pico de gallo, like, s&p all to taste),
  • secret sauce (3/4 c sour cream, 3/4 c mayo and 1 taco seasoning packet),
  • 3-5 chopped green onions,
  • 3-4 diced tomatoes,
  • 1 small can chopped olives, and
  • shredded cheese!

Even though it’s not football season, it’s still an awesome recipe to take to gatherings throughout the year.

Hope you enjoy!
