We had a mini flavored lemonade tasting party last night as I made these and I have to say, they were a huge hit! The next time you are asked to bring a drink to a party, make these! You’ll be happy you did, promise.
Strawberry & Basil Lemonade
To a large pitcher or lemonade, add 1/2 to a full thinly sliced lemon, 2 to 3 cups of fresh chopped strawberries or sliced frozen strawberries and a handful of chopped basil. The longer the lemonade sits, the more the basil flavor will infuse with the drink.
Cucumber & Mint Limeade
To a large pitcher of limeade, add 1/4 to 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced, a 1/2 to full thinly sliced lime, and a handful of chopped mint leaves. The mint, much like the Strawberry Basil Lemonade, will infuse with the drink the longer the drink sits.
To a small pitcher of lemonade, add 1/2 to a full thinly sliced lemon & add 1 cup of slightly mashed fresh blackberries, or frozen blackberries. The more the blackberries are smashed, the more the color will infuse into the lemonade.
NOTE: the strawberry and blackberry flavored lemonades tasted even BETTER the next day, the cucumber one tasted best right after I made it. So serve the cucumber one immediately after making it, and make the strawberry and blackberry ones the day before.
